This is a practical English course on using ICT, Internet, and web 2.0. tools in order to:
-Find information
-Express yourself in English with digital documents using text, images, music and speech.
-Communicate and interact with other students on line and in class.
AIMS OF THE COURSE:
This course aims at all the students who want to learn how to use ICT to express and comunícate with others using computers and Internet.
SYLLABUS:
The syllabus tries to develop the following technological skills:
- Use of slideshows for personal or public presentations.
- Use of podcasts to record voice, post or send voice comments, messages, personal experience or opinions on line.
- Use of music and images to back up your ideas.
- Use of blogs to express yourself.
- Use of wikis to cooperate with others.
The topics and content are varied and adapted to the students’ interests.
PRACTICAL WORK:
There are a few websites connected to this course:
- A web 2.0. English Course is the blog where you can find many tips and tricks related to the course. It offers information about how to manage digital documents and use them to express yourself and interact with others.
- English Network is the Ning community where students meet, Express themselves, comunícate and put their ideas into practice.
